Abstract :
Zeolite and zeolite-related microporous solids are proposed to be ideal robust inorganic hosts for a large variety of guest species. Zeolite based host-guest system are a type of advanced materials in which zeolite act as host for encapsulating and 3-dimensionally organizing molecular, crystalline nanocluster, and supramolecular entities inside the zeolite pores or channels. Space confinement, organization and host-guest interaction result in composite materials processing novel optical and electronic properties. So we will review host-guest chemistry and discuss zeolite based host-guest system on the following topics is presented: (a) preparation and application of semiconductor cluster (b) optical properties of polar organic dyes (c) immobilization of homogeneous catalysts.
